Homework for OUSE class
Set date—9th October
Due date— 16th October
Children will need to know how to put their spelling into a sentence.. For example Mr Card will ask; can you spell the word bush, that’s bush. Now write it in a sentence. Your child might then write:
The small bush is green.
Please make sure your child uses the ‘must haves’ capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

Children are encouraged to read at least five times a week. Please fill in your child’s planner every time they read at home and remember it is always best to read a book at least three times to help them improve their fluency. We will be giving dojos and prizes out to children who read regularly at home.

Children write their first name followed by the first initial of their surname. (children will get the opportunity to practice this in school)
From listening to parents view we will be offering a homework club on a Tuesday afterschool from 3:15 till 3:45pm. This will take place in Mr Card’s classroom. Children will get the opportunity to practice number gym for ten minutes, practice spelling for ten minutes and reading to a friend. Children do not need to sign up for the club, but please inform a member of staff if you wish your child to stay.
